User Roles and Permissions - Set Default Role | RingCentral

SummaryThis article provides information on how Administrators can set a predefined or custom role as the default role for new users.

How to set a default User role

1. Log in to the RingCentral Online account.

2. Go to Admin Portal > Users > Roles.

3. Click the role that needs to be set as the default.

4. Click Edit.

5. On the Overview tab, check the box beside Set as Default.

NOTE: The roles of existing users will not be changed. The default role will only be assigned to new users.

6. A notification appears, click OK to proceed.


7. Click Save.
