SummaryThis article provides information on how to add a vanity direct number to a User. As an Administrator, you have the ability to configure the settings of another User in your RingCentral account.

NOTE: The images provided on the steps below were taken from the Super Admin's perspective. The tabs and other sections visible on your RingCentral Online account may vary depending on your Role and permissions granted to you by the Super Admin.


Direct Number - Add a Vanity number to User

You can add a vanity number to create a personalized phone number that is easy to remember. A vanity number is a phone number that also corresponds to a distinctive combination of letters on the telephone keypad, such as 1-888-MTRGAGE or 1-888-GARDENS. 

1. Go to Users > User List > Select User > Phones & Numbers > Numbers.
Click Add Direct Number.

2. Select Vanity, and then enter any combination of letters, numbers or wildcards (the * symbol) to search for an available number. Click Search.
If you want to find a number that ends with 'SALE', enter ***-SALE.

NOTE: You will be asked to enter the characters you see on the image, and then click Submit.

3. Select your preferred number from the list of available numbers. After you select a number, click Next.

NOTE: When choosing one of these numbers: 
• A $30 one-time setup fee will be charged to the credit card on file when the Vanity number is activated on your account.
• The Vanity number that you selected will take approximately 7 days to become active.
• It is possible that the number(s) you selected may have recently been reserved by someone else, even though the number currently shows up as available.
• You will not be charged a $30 set-up fee if we find your chosen number is already taken.

4. The Vanity number that you selected will be added to the list of Pending Vanity numbers. Once your Vanity request is approved, the account's Super Admin will receive a notification email from RingCentral. 
To close the window, click OK
