Groups enable you to group users to handle calls according to the set preference, ensuring that all calls are received and taken care of.
Creating virtual groups with a group of extensions is a powerful tool. Calls to that group will automatically be placed on hold until a group member can take the call. Groups make it easy to specify queue priority, if they set up multiple queues and to customize the in-queue experience, including maximum hold time.
Adding groups is free with your service plan. No additional charges will be applied on your account.
You have to be an account administrator to add groups. To learn more about how to add groups, see
How to add Groups.
You can have a total of 999 groups and extensions in your account. This number is shared between extensions and groups.
Groups can handle any number of incoming calls for as long as you have set enough group members to accommodate them.
No, as the group settings will only take effect if the call was routed either from the group's direct number or from the Auto-Receptionist.
