Recents Menu (Call Log) Overview

The Recents Menu (previously called Call Log) helps you track incoming, outgoing, and missed calls in your account through the RingCentral Phone for Mobile once you start using your RingCentral service.

NOTE: If you are using the RingCentral Phone for Mobile as an Administrator, the Recent Calls feature synchronizes with your RingCentral Online account. Once you delete any logs from your mobile app, you will not be able to retrieve it.

How to access the Recents Menu on the RingCentral Phone for Mobile

1. Launch the RingCentral Phone for Mobile on your device.

2. Tap Recents.
 

Understanding the Recent Menu icons

Incoming and outgoing calls and faxes, as well as missed calls, can be viewed on the Recents menu and are presented by the following icons: 

ICONNAME

Actions you can make from the Recents Menu

You can make any of the following actions from the Recents section of your RingCentral Phone for Mobile.

Place a call
Send a text message
Send a fax message
Block a number 
Unblock a number
Clear the call log
Filter the call log


How to place a call from Recents

1. Tap the Info icon User-added image opposite the contact or number to call.

How to send a text message from Recents

1. Tap the Info icon User-added image opposite the contact or number to send a text to.

2. Tap the New Text icon New Text icon.

3. Compose your message on the text box. Tap the Send icon Send icon..

How to send a fax message from Recents

1. Tap the Info icon User-added image opposite the contact or number to send a fax to.

3. Set the cover page and/or attach the documents to your fax message. Tap Send.

How to block a number from Recents

NOTE: This feature only applies to contacts that are not saved in your address book.

1. Tap the Info icon User-added image opposite the contact or number to block.

3. Tap Continue in the confirmation window.

How to unblock a number from Recents

NOTE: This feature only applies to contacts that are not saved in your address book.

1. Tap the Info icon User-added image opposite the contact or number to unblock.

3. Tap Continue in the confirmation window.

How to clear the call log

NOTE: Clearing the call log permanently deletes ALL entries in your company's and your extension's call logs.

1. Tap the Delete icon Delete icon.

2. You will see the notification below. Tap Continue to proceed.

How to filter your call log

NOTE: You need to have Administrator access to perform these actions. Users who are logged in as the Administrator will see their personal extension's Recent Calls by default.

1. Tap the Filter icon Filter icon.

2. Tap Personal or Company to view your personal or company contacts.

3. Tap Done (for iOS) or the Check (for Android) button to save your preference.
