To place a VoIP call from the RingCentral Mobile App's Dial pad, follow the steps below:

Tap Keypad. You will be able to see the Dial pad where you can enter the number that you wish to call.
If you have multiple phone numbers assigned to your extension, select your preferred Caller ID from the drop-down list.  Tap the Call button when you are ready to place the call. NOTE: When you place a call, you might get a pop-up asking you to Switch to RingOut. For more information, go to Smart Recommendation: Switch to RingOut.

Tap the Contacts button. 
Step 3:
Tap on the drop-down arrow to view All Contacts, your Company Contacts, Personal Contacts, or Favorite Contacts. 
Step 4:
Tap the name of the contact that you wish to call and then, tap the Call button next to the contact's phone number to initiate a call. NOTE: When you place a call, you might get a pop-up asking you to Switch to RingOut. For more information, go to Smart Recommendation: Switch to RingOut.

Tap Contacts.

Tap the Call button next to the Favorite contact that you wish to call. NOTE: When you place a call, you might get a pop-up asking you to Switch to RingOut. For more information, go to Smart Recommendation: Switch to RingOut.
To call a number from the Call Log section of your RingCentral Mobile App, follow the steps below.

Tap Keypad and then, the button. 
Step 3:
Tap a Call Log entry to immediately place a call.  You can also tap on the Contact Info button and then select which number to call. NOTE: When you place a call, you might get a pop-up asking you to Switch to RingOut. For more information, go to Smart Recommendation: Switch to RingOut.

Tap Messages.
Step 3:
Tap to view your Voice message  , Fax message  , or Text message  . On the message details, you will have the option to tap the Call button, to call the number of the person who sent the message.

The RingCentral Mobile App has an automatic pre-call network or internet quality detection. If the RingCentral Mobile App detects that the network or internet will affect the VoIP call quality, Users will get a pop-up that will provide the option to Switch to RingOut, or Continue with VoIP.
